The story on the second series of TORCHWOOD is that each episode will be edited "by a few minutes" of adult material for a repeat airing that children can watch.
Meanwhile, I was surprised at how quickly BBC America is airing the second series - just ten days after episodes air on BBC Two. This, even though the episodes have to be edited for more commercial time and (most probably) for some content.
Is it possible that the second series episodes airing on BBC America are the "BBC Two kiddie-safe" repeats?
Seems like that would be an easy way to kill two birds with one stone when it comes to editing. Although it would also suggest that the BBC feels America would only tolerate watching a "kiddie-safe" version of the program.
