Not sure about the time, but pretty sure TCM hasn't shown (or hasn't shown in years) Sam Fuller's period tabloid film from 1952. I haven't seen it, but you can bet your bippy (Maltese or otherwise) that I'll be taping.

I just finished watching Sam Fuller's PARK ROW. What a wonderful film on the importance of a Free Press, probably more timely now than when it was made. Unfortuantely, the recording off my DVR had lots, and lots, of artifacting and the picture would break up whenever there was a lot of movement on the screen so it was not a keeper for me.
John Sayles was Robert Osborne's guest and introduced the film, with additional comments afterwards. It'd be nice to see this rarely shown film rescued - it was the first time I had an opportunity to see it - and given the Criterion treatment.

I don't think I've ever seen a TCM screening break up like that before, and it's a shame it had to happen with PARK ROW.

So, it wasn't just my TiVo crapping out on me! I'm still going to keep it, though: it's my favorite Fuller movie and where else am I going to get my hands on it...?

Hopefully, TCM will show it again down the road and fix whatever the problem was with all the image break-up. A DVD release, if Criterion could get their hands on it, would be nice too.
