Title: Sarah Connor Chronicles

Did anyone catch this on Fox last night and tonight? I wasn't expecting much. How many different ways can you do the "bad terminator sent to kill, good terminator sent to protect" schtick, anyway? But they did manage to wring a couple of new twists out of the concept. And it's good to see Summer Glau again. With the writers strike, they might run out of episodes before it gets completely stale, but even stale TERMINATOR beats whatever reality crap will be launched in its place when they run out of episodes.

And what is going on on PRISON BREAK these days? I gave it up after the first season so I have no idea what this season's premise is, but from the brief teaser of next week's episode that was at the beginning of my DVR'd SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES, it looks like the guards, cops and season 1 prisoners are all in prison together. What the hell?

I caught both shows and have enjoyed it so far. Well, aside from horribly shot and edited action scenes. I like the idea of the jump to avoid John's assassination and the idea that more people from the future are back here to tackle the problem. I understand they have nine episodes completed to make up the first season. When the season runs down, they should do a reality show where people are hunted by Terminators. :)

There is some discussion going on here as well:

That's exactly it. At least it will be easy in the future to remember - odd seasons in prison, even seasons on the run.

I expect it will finish this season, or maybe they might get one more year out of it. Not that credibility has ever been a problem.

PRISON BREAK is absolutely insane these days, and the best way to enjoy it is to just go with it. In a nutshell, this season's premise is...

SPOILERS

Michael, FBI agent Mahone, prison guard Bellick and pedophile T-Bag were all tossed into a Panamanian prison at the conclusion of last season. Also behind bars is an agent (?) or something named Whistler. Michael's brother Lincoln was contacted on the outside by government conspirators (?) who kidnapped Linc's son L.J. and Michael's galpal, prison doc Sara. They threatened to kill both prisoners unless Michael spirited Whistler from prison. When Linc attempted a rescue mission, the kidnappers murdered Sara and put her head in a box (this appears to have occurred due to the unavailability of actress Sarah Wayne Callies).

SPOILERS END

That really is just barely the beginning of PRISON BREAK's oddball story twists. If Michael Scofield were to be revealed as a terminator back from the future to assassinate the president, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised, nor would it seem like much of a credibility stretch at this point.

They looked like they were going down a science-fiction path at the end of season 2, with the guy scribbling down notes and the muttering about the nature of SONA - I'm still expecting that to be an acronym of some sort. Added to that, it would also explain Wentworth Miller's acting. And the way that T-Bag's hand injury has recovered so quickly.

Still, I'm the guy who expected Kyle Reese to be a robot...
