It deals with CC companies marking up currency conversions for CC/debit/Atm purchases and withdrawals that were foreign transactions.
Got the forms in the mail from the Settlement Administrator. Its a real deal and NOT some scam. I filed for the Easy $25 refund since my time abroad was nil and my purchases were less then 2,500. Even if you didn't get the forms the site will tell you how to opt into the lawsuit. Once again its the real deal so if you purchased anything from abroad well you got yourself at least $25 :)

Explains even if you didn't get a notice you may be a member.

Scroll down to how to get a claim letter and click on it then choose I do not have an id.

Enjoy a nice Hanukkah and early Christmas present from me :)

Thank you, sir! I got this form in the mail, and wanted to do some research to discover its validity before signing anything. You did that for me! $25, here I come!

I didn't travel anywhere, but got the forms anyway. I assume that's because I made purchases from Amazon.uk?

No problem. I don't blame you at DVD Maniacs one guy tore his up and is still unsure it is a scam. I can't blame people for claims of free money and such.

I would suspect that is enough.

This is all very legit but remember that the $25 is only an estimated refund based upon the number of people that they expect to file a claim. If more people file than they're expecting (or more people opt for Option 2 or 3) than this amounted will be prorated downwards. Essentially, the more people who claim -- the less money everyone gets. Often these sort of class actions only pay out a very small percentage of their advertised price.

The lawyers are the ones really getting rich on this deal (in this case I've seen estimates of around 90 million -- thats over 25% of the entire class). That's a lot of DVDs.

Thats why for its Seton Hall Law Class of 2010 here :)

Its true but it would have to be significantly larger than the estimate and most people won't file, some guy thought it was a scam and destroyed two forms he got about it. Can't blame him. I just wanted to make sure all the DVD fiends here get justice :)
