This is apparently from Switzerland. The discs are house inside a figure of the girl being impaled on a stick. Check out the photos at the links below:

I'm satisfied with the Grindhouse 2 disc though the soundtrack CD is tempting (probably the most beautiful score for a cannibal film).

I'd almost have been tempted too (I too am more than happy with the Grindhouse release) just for the soundtrack - the most inappropriately beautiful score ever written (well, apart from the disco numbers on it, which are just bad) but thankfully, after an obscenely limited release, it was repressed recently and is now available at normal prices.

The girl on the stick though... where would you display something like that?!? (It's the same reason I've never bought a Cannibal Holocaust t-shirt - even I'm not keen on wearing something like that, but it seems to be the image they always market.)

I know it'd be the first thing I'd want a date to see when I brought her home.

Yeah, that's a nice piece for the mantel...

The recurring problem in my life is I tend to be the guy who will indeed go, "And, hey, you've gotta check this out!"

Travis Bickle, you read the User Registration Instructions - no aliases. Them's the rules! ;)

:ph43r:

Luckily, I have the good fortune of being in a long-term relationship with someone who will at least humor me on the things that she doesn't actually agree are worth geeking out over.

Not that I will be making any effort to get this item. If I ended up with one, though, I'd definitely put it out for all to see, and most to question my sanity.
