Title: AUTUMN (2008)
Description: In production now!

Steve Genier - December 4, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
Based on the UK novel of the same name (AUTUMN) written by David Moody.

In less than twenty-four hours a vicious and virulent disease destroys virtually all of the population. Billions are killed. Thousands die every second. There are no symptoms and no warnings. Within moments of infection each victim suffers a violent and agonizing death. Only a handful of survivors remain. By the end of the first day those survivors wish they were dead. Then the disease strikes again, and all hell breaks loose.

We are currently in production in and around the Toronto area. It stars Dexter Fletcher (LOCK STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS, LAYER CAKE), and David Carradine (KILL BILL, DEATH RACE 2000, KUNG FU-The Legend Continues)(Just signed on!!), plus more!

Special effects are overlooked by Randy Daudlin (DAWN OF THE DEAD) who also directed the film BOTTOM FEEDER (2006).

The film is being directed and produced by Steve Rumbelow through Renegade Motion Pictures (Steven Rumbelow and Frank Capra Jr.)...

I will update you more on this as production goes along. We just finished shooting a major zombie scene just north of Hamilton which turned out very well. David Carradine will be in town to shoot his scenes just after X-Mas into the new year!

The Making of Autumn Blog is rarely updated due to time spend on set. There is a makeshift teaser trailer there, but it's just an experiment. A full teaser will be done near the end of production..

Zombie movies and post-apocalyptic movies - two of my favourite things.

Best of luck with it!

David Carradine will be on set just after X-Mas to shoot his scenes! We just finished off some intense zombie scenes that last for 12 hours. Dexter Fletcher is an incredible actor , very intense which adds a great element to the film.

Anyhow, not sure if there are any member here that have read the AUTUMN novels? The author David Moody will be in TO for a book signing gig this Thrusday evening at 7pmEST at Prohabition Bar and Cocktails 696 Queen St. E.Toronto, ON. Come on out if you are in town! Here's a brief description of the first book, AUTUMN.

In less than twenty-four hours a vicious and virulent disease destroys virtually all of the population. Billions are killed. Thousands die every second. There are no symptoms and no warnings. Then the disease strikes again, and all hell breaks loose... The classic free underground novel finally bursts into the mainstream. Cold, dark, relentless and uncomfortably plausible. A Night of the Living Dead for the 21st Century. "the perfect zombie story" "nothing written in the genre has grabbed me in the same way as AUTUMN" "an equal to Romero's Night of the Living Dead"
