I ordered the HD DVD back in September from AMAZON.COM and it still hasn't arrived (says something about distributor delays on AMAZON). :angry:

Does anyone have this? How does it look?

I saw it sitting on the shelf at Best Buy yesterday and almost broke down and bought it, but the cheaper AMAZON price, plus the extra 10% off promo discount I get for HD/BD product, make the "wait" worth it.

But, I'm curious all the same... how's the HD version?

Got the Bluray last night – just took a quick look after I got home and based on the few minutes I watched, it is a honky paradise, brother. Obviously from the same HD master as the DVD, which I thought looked pretty damn good. In this case, I think the controlled backlot conditions and flat TV lighting worked in its favor (Soylent Green, with all its arty-farty filters will probably never look good on video).

I knew if I waited I wouldn't be disappointed... AMAZON shipped my OMEGA MAN HD DVD yesterday, finally. The urge to buy it at a B&M as been squashed. Can't wait! I guess I'll have it on Monday. Amazon only charged me $16.24 for the HD DVD, with no shipping! YAY! For some reason, I got a $3.71 discount on its $19.95 Amazon price... :lol:

Maybe no ORANGE BOX for me this weekend... I'm gonna hook up my PS3s TIME CRYSIS 4! Hehe! Oh, and I'm gonna check out the DVDs of RICCO THE MEAN MACHINE and TRAGIC CEREMONY (Thanks MPI/Dark Sky!).
