Title: 24 Season 7 trailer

http://www.24trailer.com/Let's see stuff from 2nd and 4th Die Hard films and possibly Sutherland's own The Sentinel. At least they realized one of the big twists couldn't be kept secret and show it in the trailer. I'll be watching but this time may not go the distance if it's no better than last season (or the strike doesn't stop it halfway through).

"24" has always been a treat for me (with the exception of last season which started great and ended with a whimper). This show has always been reported to be written as it goes along, with ideas and scenarios being tossed around right up to the time of filming. They probably DON'T have all the episodes written out, so I imagine the strike will affect it if it goes along for over 6 months (which, from what I hear from people in the industry, isn't out of the realm of reality).
Hmm... they've done "non stop" episodes of "24" for many years now. Probably won't happen this time.
As far as the new trailer for the season... it looks like fun! But then again, so have all the early trailers for EVERY season. Soul-patch Tony coming back as a (possible) bad guy looks interesting.
It's my hope that they at least learned their lesson with last season and have a much more focused, action-packed "day" ahead. After the fans spoke up about the disaster of last season, they need to
make it up to us! :)

"24" and the Writer's Strike - CNN.COMWell, looks like "24" is being affected... and delayed... so they can air the show uninterrupted, as usual.

So if the strike goes as long as expected then maybe we'll see the new season in January 2009. Maybe Fox could show the remaining unaired episodes of Drive in the meantime....

In the meantime don't forget to check out
24: The Unaired 1994 Pilot.

Kurtwood Smith? What are these guys doing - methodically working their way through the cast of ROBOCOP?

It's all leading up to the revelation that Jack Bauer is an unstoppable cyborg.

Which would not be the series' most outrageous plot twist.

The AP reports that series fan Jon Voight has been cast as the chief bad guy in the seventh season, which kicks off with a "prequel" two-hour episode in November. It's his first series appearance (playing someone other than himself, which he did I think on SEINFELD and maybe EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND) since GUNSMOKE in the Sixties. (Hard to believe he'll be 70 in December; then again, all those Sixties sensations are up there.)

Ever since Dennis Hopper played the main baddie during the first season, I've been waiting for 24 to grab another big name to clash with Jack Bauer. I've mostly liked 24's casting, but the big bad guys are usually not worthy of going toe-to-toe with Kiefer. Arnold Vosloo? Come on. Last year, it was James Cromwell, who was fine with an awkwardly scripted character, but he's no Hopper.

I liked Peter Weller's character, just one of the many Season Five (sigh...Season Five!) highpoints.

Day 5 was incredible, except it used JoBeth Williams for just one scene the entire season. Granted, it was a pretty amazing scene, but why hire JoBeth Williams just for that?

I have a feeling Weller will pop up again. After all, Jack gave him his word that he wouldn't kill him, and Jack never goes back on his word...

Yes, I'm hoping Weller pops up again. I figured the show is keeping him in reserve.
The Williams one-shot was weird. But she's been on DEXTER and I just saw her Off Broadway in a show called BODY AWARENESS. She looks terrific (age 60 and no obvious sign of work done to maintain her fresh and lively appearance) and was good as always in the part. I hope to see more of her.
