I was reading a newspaper article a few days ago about a symphony performance that included Ravel's "Bolero," and the writer of the article mentioned that the piece has been featured in everything from movies to "anime cartoons" (I don't know whether that means anime movies or anime tv shows). I can't recall ever seeing any anime that includes it, can anyone here name any? I don't want to be too harsh, but it seems like if this writer actually knew anything about anime or cared about it at all, he/she would have given an example or two of "anime cartoons" that include it (even if would be meaningful to only a handful of people who read my hometown newspaper!).

My favorite use of "Bolero" in any movie, animated or not, is in the part of Bruno Bozzeto's Allegro Non Troppo with the dinosaurs evolving (which was set into motion by someone throwing a coke bottle out of a spaceship!).
