The official website for Ataru Oikawa's Higurashi no naku koro ni is online. Phantom Film Co. Ltd. (K.K. Fantomu Firumu) is to release the movie theatrically in Japan next year.
The screenplay for Higurashi no naku koro ni was written by Oikawa, based on a story by 07th Expansion (a.k.a. Ryûkishi07). The movie stars (listed order corresponds to row order on official website) Gôki Maeda, Rin Asuka, Airi Matsuyama, Erena Ono, Aika, Tetta Sugimoto, Ayako Kawahara, Kôtarô Tanaka, and Masashi Taniguchi.
