Title: What happened to TCM's CARTOON ALLEY?

There is (was?) a 30-minute show on TCM on Saturday morning called Cartoon Alley that showed old cartoons (mostly 30s-40s American cartoons and a few British ones). It's been at least a month or two since I've seen it on the schedule, Anyone know what happened to this show? I typically enjoyed watching it, especially since it sometimes included some Looney Tunes that haven't made it to DVD yet?

I really would like to see Cartoon Alley come back, especially since there are so few old cartoons anywhere on tv these days. Cartoon Network includes episodes of the original Astro Boy as part of its Saturday night/early Sunday morning Adult Swim lineup, but even Cartoon Network doesn't really show much of anything pre-90s anymore.

I was wondering that myself, I think the last one was in July. I emailed them and will post their answer.

I checked with TCM's head programmer and he says they no longer have rights to most of the cartoons.

That's disappointing. :(

However, I did get the new Looney Tunes DVD set in the mail today, so that somewhat makes up for it. :)

How did Turner lose the rights? I haven't read anything about anybody buying that library (Warners/MGM) from Turner. Anyone know anything about this?
