Andrea Molaioli's The Girl by the Lake (La ragazza del lago) is scheduled to have its international (i.e., outside-of-Italy) première at the 12th Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) on October 6th at 5:00 p.m. (17:00), and to subsequently be screened there on October 8th at 2:00 p.m. (14:00). It had its world première at the 22nd International Week of Film Critics (22. Settimana Internazionale della Critica) in Venice on September 2nd. Medusa Film S.p.A. released it theatrically in Italy on September 14th.

The screenplay for The Girl by the Lake was written by Molaioli and Sandro Petraglia, based on the novel Don't Look Back (Se deg ikke tilbake!) by Karin Fossum. According to the website of production company Indigo Film s.a.s., the movie's principal cast is as follows: Toni Servillo, Nello Mascia, Marco Baliani, Giulia Michelini, Fausto Sciarappa, Denis Fasolo, Franco Ravera, Sara D'Amario, Heidi Caldart, Alessia Piovan, Nicole Perrone, Enrico Cavallero, with the participation of Anna Bonaiuto and Omero Antonutti, and with Fabrizio Gifuni and Valeria Golino.

Here's a description of The Girl by the Lake from the PIFF website:
QUOTE
Norwegian crime fiction author Karin Fossum's popular and award-winning Inspector Konrad Sejer mystery Don't Look Back is adapted to modern Italy in Andrea Molaioli's debut feature. Set in a small Italian town, Inspector Giovanni Sanzio is brought in to solve a series of murders that began with a six-year-old girl. While investigating, Sanzio stumbles into a complex web of family ties and village allegiances that muddy the waters of his inquiry, in addition to Sanzio's own personal pain. But the film's focus isn't purely on police procedure. As Molaioli says, it's about known conflicts, "fathers who out of too much love can no longer analyze their children's souls, adolescents who feel they have been born into the wrong family... children who aren't comprehended by their parents. All this humanity... suddenly appears deviated, complicated. It is a crime, that lifts this lid and overturns this scene of absolute 'mediocrity'".
