Takuji Kitamura's Negative Happy Chain Saw Edge (Negatibu happî chênsô ejji) is scheduled to have its world première at the 20th Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) on October 25th, and to subsequently be screened there on October 26th.
The screenplay for Negative Happy Chain Saw Edge was written by Hirotoshi Kobayashi, based on the eponymous novel by Tatsuhiko Takimoto. The movie's cast apparently includes Hayato Ichihara, Megumi Seki, Yôsuke Asari, Haruma Miura, Maho Nonami, Itsuji Itao, and Hiromi Shinjô.
Here's a description of Negative Happy Chain Saw Edge from the TIFF website: "Yusuke a school student, come across Eri, a beautiful girl in school uniform.Every night, Eri is fighting an immortal giant with a big chainsaw. Who is the man ? Why does Eri have to fight ? Based on Best-Selling novel by Tatsuhiko Takimoto."
