Could anyone possibly help me with the name of this movie? I apologize though, I can't remember much detail of it at all.
I just happened to think of this the other day, out of the blue, but vaguely remember this horror movie from when I was just a little boy of around 10 or so, in the mid-late 70's. I think it was on a pay station, like HBO or Showtime, (it may or may not have been in the theaters before this, I really don't know)?
It involved an apartment complex of elderly people, (possibly a high-rise), and the complex was set for demolition, to build perhaps a mall, or offices, not really sure. The elderly people of the building, to thwart the demolition, start killing off the construction crew, one by one, in various ways. The only death I can seem to remember though, (because it stuck in my head many years, as it was pretty disturbing for me. As I guess it would be for a 10yr. old, give or take, but it's still a disturbing way for me to see someone die in a movie), is when they overpower & submerge one worker in cement, and when he's fully covered, and dead, his hand or arm is left sticking out, and they cut it off with an axe, or some sharp object. I can't remember any of the actors, or if they're even known. I think the title consisted of 1 or 2 words, (big help, huh? ), but it could be more, and if I heard it, I'm hoping it'll come back to me?
I remember watching this several times when I was young, but have forgotten all about it, until just recently. I don't know what made me think about it, really, but it came to mind, and now I'm trying to remember the name of it?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dean
Sounds like HOMEBODIES 1974 by Alfred Sole- a neat little sleeper horror-comedy
Def. is HOMEBODIES...although I think it was the end of his foot (w/boot) sticking out that they chop off. IIRC

Alfred Sole didn't direct it, though, Larry Yust did. I wish Sole had directed more...
IMDB entry for HOMEBODIES
YES, that's it. I knew I would find the answer from my fellow Mobians. :D
Thanks alot.
Yes, now that I think of it, it was a foot, not a hand or arm. Thanks for correcting me.
Is this available anywhere on dvd or vhs, preferably dvd?
Thanks again, it may have been an easy task, but you folks made my night.
