And Scott "MYSTERIOUS SKIN" Heim is in talks to write it????!?!??

:o

Talk about interesting choices. At least it seems the producers of this don't intend to go the soul-less hack route.

Maybe Green's been smoking 'Pineapple Express' while he's been shooting THE PINEAPPLE EXPRESS, and he was too addled to just walk away when he was approached?

This is a very odd development. I wonder what will come of it...

And hey - at least we know Green and Tim Orr will shoot anamorphic! :)

Not necessarily- UNDERTOW was flat 1.85:1.

I mean, if they shoot 'scope, they'll most likely shoot anamorphic, not Super 35.

"The original 'Suspiria' had a unique style that we want to recapture and reinvest," First Sun chief Luca Guadagnino said. "The concept will encompass cinema, video games, fashion and music that will revive the original version and also include a psychological element to the film that was not there in the original."

The words "unique" and "recapture" seem perfectly at odds with each other, particularly in this context.

Video games? fashion? The fashion part perplexes me, and my just be b.s., but while I myself have toyed with the concept of a eurohorror styled video game, I don't know if that would work, here.

And ummm, there's a whole boatload of psychology that could be applied to SUSPIRIA. One could make it one's college thesis, were they so inclined.

And is there really an audience for this kind of remake? Most of the current horror remakes are tanking. What would make this any different, in regards to appeal?

Ooooh...Must be a "top secret" project if IMDB is locking out casual users...
