Title: KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR
Description: Finally!!

According to TheDigitalBits, we seem to be looking at an early November release. Just in time to stuff a stocking or two.
I'll personally be all over this, but the price for this four-disc set had better be a bargain.
I fully expect this package to be chock full of entertainment and further indulgences from our favorite geek auteur.
I just wonder if the masses who bought a record number of KILL BILL VOL. 1 dvds on the day of release are still out there. I suspect that as far as mainstream appeal goes, the KILL BILL iron is no longer as hot as it once was.
Be that as it may, there's LOADS of room for improvement in terms of what these discs could offer, from the supplements to the actual video quality. I do think it's funny that for a set whose primary appeal will be the opportunity to see two films reintegrated as the single movie they were always meant to be, they'll still have to split the film into two halves to realistically utilize available disc space.
And then there's the real question:
Will Quentin finally record an audio commentary for a film that he actually directed?
Stay tuned!

It's probably getting released now simply because GRINDHOUSE was such a financial disaster and this is one way to try to recoup some of that money. The DVD release of DEATH PROOF is coming out this fall as well and I'm guessing there will be some cross-marketing. No peep at all about an intact GRINDHOUSE release. Instead, just a stand-alone DEATH PROOF.
So Weinstein finally connects KILL BILL and, at the same time, tears apart GRINDHOUSE.

You could do it all on one disc with HD DVD as well - though I'd shunt any extras off to their own disc, or side.
I think the way it'll work is: If it's Miramax, it'll be Blu-ray. If it's The Weinstein Company, it's HD DVD. Not sure how this will actually shake out, but the early info *seems* that it's Weinstein Co.

Don't be so sure. Now that Blockbuster has embraced BluRay, and the Weinstein Company has that Blockbuster Exclusive deal, you may see the Weinsteins beginning to move over to Sony.

That's my understanding: the two individual volumes of Kill Bill stay with Miramax and are also rumored for release late this year, but The Whole Bloody Affair is under The Weinstein Company.
It's possible that The Weinstein Company will embrace Blu-ray by then, but as things stand now, their support is exclusive to HD DVD. Also, it may be worth noting that The Weinstein Company has never released an HD DVD day-and-date with the corresponding DVD release. This could also change by November, but with the way things have been so far, a high definition release would follow another 2-3 months later.

According to the info at Amazon it is The Weinstein Company, and it's also rated NC17.
