Title: BLACK VEIL FOR LISA

Has anyone seen any other versions of this film? What changes did Commonwealth impose on the English version?

I ask this because it has similar postproduction credits as VENUS IN FURS (including music supervision by Synchronfilm whose library tracks from the Franco film also show up in WEREWOLF VS THE VAMPIRE WOMAN and SISTERS OF DEATH). Tim Lucas' review of BU's disc of VENUS IN FURS notes the extensive post production and the background of those American "crew" members.

American editor Robert S. Eisen is credited as "post production supervisor". He also handled post production on VENUS IN FURS and 99 WOMEN.

Although Italian editor Daniele Alabiso is perfectly capable of cutting a film himself, Harry Eisen (also post production on VENUS IN FURS) is credited as "editorial supervisor" and Stanley Franzen and Mike Pozen (one of three additional editors on VENUS IN FURS) are credited with Alabiso as editors.

Also, the English version credits Richard Markowitz as composer but the imdb credits Giovanni Fusco (L'ECLISSE) and Gianfranco Reverberi (DELIRIUM, REINCARNATION OF ISABEL) with music.

The theme song is by Alan Gordon and Gary Bonner (both known for the song "Happy Together"). I wonder if that was part of the original scoring or added when Commonwealth stepped in.

I have the UK video release which features the Commonwealth United version (84m10s) and an Italian video release which runs for 91m01s.

I really should get around to checking the two variants out some time.
