This looks good as far as extras go, but can anyone confirm which cut of the actual film will be on the new disc?
Thanks,
Adam

If you are discussing the American DVD, then by use of the name LEON, as opposed to just THE PROFESIONAL, you will be getting the internation Integrale version. Interestingly, the shorter cut released in Japan on LD had the Japanese and French trailers, but the Japanese Version Integrale LD did not. The US disc released a few years ago (replacing the much shorter cut) didn't have much in the way of stills galleries (beyond a few international posters) or foreign trailers. I don't imagine that will be corrected, but I have a ton of paper on this title, and I always shake my head when I see incomplete collections released from the studios that produced the films originally. It would be good to see the Natalie Portman audition tape (or her first appearance on Letterman promoting the US cut of the film which was among Dave's finest moments).
I am assuming that you do mean the Luc Besson film, and not the one about the pig farmer.

The UK DVD has the title LEON, but is the shorter version.

Yes, Luc Besson's film is known as LEON in every other country outside the US, and then qualified with VERSION INTEGRALE or DIRECTOR'S CUT. In the USA, the cut version is called "THE PROFESSIONAL" only, with no mention of the lead hitman's name, and the uncut version is called LEON -THE PROFESSIONAL. The US is the only release country of which I'm aware where the differing editions were so named, and can be so discerned. Since the original poster, Adam, was seemingly asking about an upcoming release, I'm led to believe that he was referencing the upcoming US Columbia release, which streets on January 11, 2005 under the title LEON - THE PROFESSIONAL (DELUXE EDITION). This edition will most assuredly be the uncut version for the reasons stated; I hope that clears things up, and understand that it is pretty confusing otherwise, especially if you're unaware of the territorial differences of title.

Oh dear... Sorry for the confusion, I should have been more specific. Yes, I was referring to the excellent Luc Besson film and not the one about the pig farmer, and yes, I was referring to the US R1 DVD to be released next month.
I had assumed it would be the Version Integrale, but hadn't seen this actually confirmed anywhere, so thanks for the help.
