This looks pretty good - though I won't see it tonight as it competes with AMERICAN IDOL... ;)
But I never knew how involved Brando was with the Civil Rights movement during the 60s - that he participated in many marches, etc.
Plus - there's great footage of he and his father being interviewed, which is really uncomfortable with Brando obviously harboring some heavy disdain for his old man and vice versa.
There's even a great clip of Johnny Carson interviewing Brando where Carson gets pretty "serious."
Clips from his film BURN! look great - where's this movie on DVD? Where's ONE EYED JACKS?
BURN!, a great movie, is on DVD. And ONE EYED JACKS is I gather floating around in unlicensed versions, including one ripped from the fine LTXed LD (which I own). It needs proper handling but I'm not sure it'll get it from Paramount.
I didn't know BURN! was on disc but I've seen a horrible transfer of ONE EYED JACKS, which really turned me off...
Hoping they set that right...
The big revelation for me was that Brando had children by actresses who played native island girls in the 1935 and 1962 versions of MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY. And I thought the guys on this board were fanatics about having complete collections!
