I've discovered that both of the victimized young actresses in Craven's LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT did skinflicks in the early 70s!!

Sandra Cassell, aka Sandra Peabody, is the most surprising! Yes, the girl who balked at the sex and violence in the film, was in Chuck Vincent's VOICES OF DESIRE (1970). Something Weird offers this film, and I bought a copy of it on DVD-R. Sandra is a innocent young girl who is trapped in a world which is a mix of CARNIVAL OF SOULS and THE DEVIL IN MISS JONES. Ms. Cassell not only has group and lesbian sex (softcore), but also is featured in a bizarre self-love sequence involving bananas, oranges and other fruit! All this before 9 1/2 WEEKS!

Now, Fred Lincoln mentioned that Lucy Grantham did porno in the UK disc of LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT. Well, it took a while to find proof, but I've got it! In a 1972 issue of "Adam Film World" Vol. 3 #3, pictures are featured from a film called THE CIVIL WAR. It turns out the film is the 1969 softcore flick I FEEL IT COMING. In the photos in the magazine, Lucy is shown having sex with Patrick Wright (keeping his pants on), Harry Reems sans moustache and future hardcore actress Jody Maxwell!!! She's in every picture from the film, making me believe this was a star vehicle made for her. It appears to be a softcore GONE WITH THE WIND centering around two sisters during the Civil War who are torn apart by their love for one man. To my knowledge, the film has never surfaced since its theatrical run(s), but the cast is great.

There is a new book (thicker than both Psychotronic Encyclopedias) by Mr. Skin called the SKINCYCLOPEDIA that lists actresses alphabetically and list all films in which they appear nude and recommends the best among them. There are hundreds of side lists for best nude scenes ever, funkiest breasts, and all kinds of amazing categories. I recieved a review copy today, and it is extraordinary. This makes THE BARE ESSENTIALS look like crib notes.
