Title: Anyone excited over Chiller TV?
Description: Debuts on Direct TV Thursday, March 1

Rob Brown - February 24, 2007 09:51 PM (GMT)
I'm fairly-well psyched about this, although I can't give a concrete reason why. Maybe it's because I'm looking forward to seeing the ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS shows from the 80s; I enjoyed them when they were back-to-back with AMAZING STORIES back in the day.

Direct TV Channel 101 has an all-day preview of the channel today (Saturday, Feb. 24), and you can download the first month's programming grid here.

Thoughts, anyone?

Sadly, I don't have Direct TV. That schedule looks great and I would love to see the 80s ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS again. I like that they are showing series from the beginning of their runs and not just throwing on random episodes like Sci-Fi does with TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE. And they are showing the movie DEATH VALLEY (1982)!

I would be excited if I had Direct TV. Hopefully, one day, there will be a horror channel that the rest of the world can watch as well. Although, Fangoria TV is showing some hope, even if it's internet only, for now.

"Frankenstein 1970" is coming up - that's one I haven't seen.

Anyone know if DirecTV is carrying this in HD? That would make it for me.

Is this stuff uncut? Commercial interruptions?

Marty McKee - February 27, 2007 05:20 AM (GMT)
If it's anything like Universal's Sleuth channel, shows will be cut and/or time-compressed and be interrupted by commercials.

Here's their site:

Chiller TV

It's on channel 257 and I started watching it this morning. It's great to see Hitchcock again! They have episodes from the original run and the eighties. I've got my Tivo set for Werewolf of London at 3:00 am.
