Now there's a couple of thespians really getting back to their roots down under....

Clooney appeared to be half-asleep and unusually irritable during the interview, which was good for a few laughs. I liked the moment when he told Brad Pitt over speakerphone that he loved the look on his face when he lost the Golden Globe for BABEL. There was a long pause and Pitt didn't seem to know how to respond.

After the phone call Clooney turned to Roberts and said something like "He never calls me. He only called because he wanted to be on television." Roberts laughed, but I'm not so sure Clooney thought it was funny.
