Listed at CD Universe, but not mentioned on the Severin Films site. Anyone know what is in Black Emanuelle's Box (no snickering at the back!)?

They do have listed at the Severin site a single DVD 'Emanuelle And The White Slave Trade', which I have an uncut letterbox Italian VHS and a (apparently) cut letterbox Dutch VHS. The obvious other three candidates might be 'Goes East', 'Degradation/Around The World' and 'Black Emanuelle (the original non D'Amato film)' which have all had recent non English language anamorphic 16/9 DVD releases in Poland (compared to the recent letterbox Russian DVD of 'Degradation'). I guess that the prepared PAL Master tapes are now easily available for liscencing from Studio Canal.
But they might just lump in the ones they are already touting, 'Suor Emanuelle' 'Black Emanuelle, White Emanuelle' and... well, back to my original question!

I also would like to see from Joe D'Amato on DVD the revisioning of Eva Nera/Black Cobra Woman which became, when edited up with other footage, 'Porno Esotic Love', I have a letterbox Italian VHS and a really scrathy print in English on a Greek VHS (must put them together at some point). And how about 'The Plaeasure Shop On 7th Avenue', I have the cut letterbox UK VHS and the uncut lettebox Italian VHS (another project!).

I have a Greek VHS of BLACK COBRA which looks very good. The one that's been floating around in the US is letterboxed but the unmatted Greek tape seems to reveal more picture info. I wonder if someone slapped a matte on the other version.

The imdb lists Harry Alan Towers as an uncredited producer. Is that true?

Sorry for any confusion (unless it is me now confused) but the scratchy print on the Greek VHS tape I was mentioning was 'Porno Esotic Love' (which uses footage from Eva Nera), and so was the Italian VHS. I remember years ago some one refuting this film's existence, saying I was confused with some film from D'Amato's Caribbean series (no doubt of a similar title).

Separately, the USA DVD of 'Black Cobra Woman' looked o.k. and letterboxed, but I presumed was a knock-off from an old 35mm print released on public domain status? If so, a proper licensing of both 'versions' would make for an interesting release - perhaps Severin would pick this out of obscurity?
