Wondering if anyone heard any news/rumors of episode #14 ZATOICHI's PILGRAMAGE, from the ZATOICHI series, being released on dvd with English subs anytime in the near future?

How frustrating it is to have ALL of the Zatoichi's, (including the newest release from Takeshi Kitano), on dvd, except this one.

Even though I have all of the dvd's, it's great to see IFC bring back Zatoichi on their Samurai Saturdays.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the past when they were showing the Zatoichi's in order on IFC, didn't they show episode #14? I could most likely be wrong, but I thought they showed them all up until #19 SAMARITAN ZATOICHI. Anyone remember this for sure? I figuere though, if they did show it, then they must have a print with English subs? And if that was the case, they'd probably already have it out on dvd? Maybe I just answered my own question? :huh:

Any info from the knowledgable folks out here would be appreciated.

Nope, IFC never ran ZATOICHI #14. I know this because, when the channel initially started airing the films a few years ago, I printed out a chronological list of the films (which I had wanted to see for years) to use as a viewing guide, and they always skipped #14.

Thanks Pete for clarifying that. Wishful thinking on my part I guess, that they did show it. I didn't have a list of all the ZATOICHI movies at the time though either, as I do now. Hopefully someday it will come to light?
