Title: One On Top Of The Other Coming To DVD
Description: Almost going unnoticed...

With so much focus on Argento's "The Card Player" being scheduled for release in 2005 it is surprising that Lucio Fulci's outstanding "One On Top Of The Other" has received little if any fanfare.
Scheduled for release in late 2005 this intricately woven Giallo will be well received, leaving hope that other quality Gialli may follow.

I can't wait to see this one (its a hi-def transfer). Will the DVD be high-def or will we be getting a NTSC downconversion (I'm not sure of the technical nature of this)?
Also, don't forget CEMETERY MAN (I hope they keep the DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE title onscreen).
Also, they're putting out the American made SUPERSTITION which was probably influenced by Italian horror (the girl in white) as well as probably influenced such shot in America Italian "horrors" as GHOSTHOUSE, WITCHERY and WITCH STORY (I'm only goinig by the pictures I've seen of this one).

Great!! Seems that Anchor Bay is returning to the obscure Euro-cult stuff with this one! I think it's been nearly 2 years since they released a really obscure Euro-title (Since Polselli's DELIRIUM or WEREWOLF'S SHADOW perhaps?)
Anyway, it's really nice seeing obscure gialli coming to dvd. Let's hope that Media Blasters will eventually put out their LIZZARD IN A WOMAN'S SKIN- the delay seems to be going on and on. Also BEATRICE CENCI needs to be released- I think it's out on video here in Greece but impossible to find.

I saw this solicited for a February release in a magazine a few days ago, so here's hoping. But of course I'll believe that when I see it.

Since there isn't a hi-def dvd format available just yet, it sorta hasta be a downconversion.
This isn't uncommon - unless all sorts of detail-destroying filtering is applied during the transfer, mastering in hi-def will save Anchor Bay the expense of having to re-transfer the title from scratch once the next format catches on.
You'll still need to buy a new hi-def disc or tape when it does, though... :(

Never heard of that Fulci Giallo, ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER. Thanks for posting about it.
I have the TRAUMA Tartan dvd, but I'll definetely be getting the AB one as well, as it sounds promising. Although I have a Daewoo & Cyberhome all region player I never got DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE (CEMETARY MAN) on dvd. I only have that one on vhs. So that sounds like another one on my to buy list.
Interested in the EMANUELLE COLL. VOL. 2 as well. Coming in Fall 2005.
And of course IL CARTAIO (THE CARD PLAYER). I already put in an order for the Czech one, but I'll be picking the AB one up as well, if it's as promising as it sounds.
A bunch of non Euro ones look pretty good also.
