TV Shows on DVD reports today that TV's longest-running police/action series, HAWAII FIVE-0, is coming to DVD in January. I don't know what the odds are of all 12 seasons eventually being released (not good, I would guess), although I'd be happy with just the first six or seven. Not much more information is given. I presume each episode will be uncut. Considering James MacArthur is the only surviving cast member and most of the show's producers are also deceased, I doubt there will be much in the way of extras. A Holy Grail for me is the pilot episode of Stephen J. Cannell's unsold '90s remake that would have starred Gary Busey (!) as the head of Five-0.
