Nelson de la Rosa the 72cm tall actor who starred as the title role in Giuliano Carnimeo's Ratman, as well as appearing in the 1996 version of Island of Doctor Moreau has died. He was 38.
Today's UK Times gives him an obituary and points out that although he was often billed as the world's smallest man this was not true. Both Ratman and Fuoco incrociato (which I've never heard of but in which he playes a demon) get a reasonable mention in the obituary. "Neither film was a gem of Italian cinema" is the deadpan comment.
