Title: Crazy movie clips on YouTube
William S. Wilson - October 12, 2006 07:11 PM (GMT)
YouTube is turning into a cornucopia of odd film clips from around the world. Needless to say, I am hopelessly addicted.
Rather than clogging up the board with various posts, I figured I would consolidate my posting to this thread. By all means, everyone else add crazy movie clips from YouTube that define the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Here are some favorites:
Rod Taylor vs. William Smith from DARKER THAN AMBER
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t904wqmg714WILD BEASTS - "She's not crazy! She's being chased by a cheetah!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZfkBt4S5P4Amazing Yukari Oshima fighting music video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgQIwiIszD0STRANGE SHADOWS IN AN EMPTY ROOM - Stuart Whitman vs. drag queens

AKA - UNA MAGNUM SPECIAL PER TONY SAITTA or BLAZING MAGNUM.
This should be available on DVD. Includes one of the most over the top car chases ever in Italian crime (even though it was shot in Canada) cinema. Great Armando Trovajoli score and an ending that's a real fire ball!
Besides Whitman, also stars John Saxon, Martin Landau and Tisa Farrow. Directed by Alberto DeMartino.
Come on No Shame!!!!
BLAZING MAGNUM

There are hordes of clips from PM movies, and a handful of great Richard Harrison clips too.
This One being among my favorites.

And it can, of course, be seen on YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUfkydF7_U0That Harrison "Exterminateur" clip is great. It is from BLOOD DEBTS but, sadly, cuts out the best part where the guy explodes (they just show a still of it).

I don't have a movie clip, but here's a pretty fun trailer. How many of you were lucky enough, as I was, to actually get to see this movie on its brief theatrical run?

Jumpin' Jeebus that was awesome! I gotta get me a xylophone girl... and some crack.
Jeff McKay - October 13, 2006 03:13 AM (GMT)
Wow - some fun clips here! Keep 'em coming!
Kate- that was great! Do you know if that clip is from a movie or just an old performance clip? That spastic bass player was bliss.

Wow, I've never seen the HALLOWEEN III trailer before. Thanks for that.
Chester Berne - October 13, 2006 06:22 PM (GMT)
Cuneyt Arkin - En buyuk yumruk
That's one nasty dude! Love the hand "speed".
Raymond Tucker - October 13, 2006 08:38 PM (GMT)
Two scenes cut from the US version of SAMPO aka THE DAY THE EARTH FROZE
the murder of LemmenkainenLemmenkainen's resurrectionBoth are in German without subtitles (sorry)
Chris Barry - October 13, 2006 08:39 PM (GMT)
Clocking in over nine minutes (!), this chase is amazing and truly jaw dropping. The choreography is spectacular and director De Martino is so impressed with a dual car jump that he shows it from different angles four or five times in a row! But it works! This is the kind of stuff that really makes you appreciate car chases in cinema before CGI. Makes BULLITT, THE FRENCH CONNECTION and THE SEVEN-UPS pale in comparison.
Wow!!!!!!!!
I'll say it again - Come on No Shame - we want our BLAZING MAGNUM!!!

Isn't it amazing?! Sadly, it's not part of a full-length feature; it's a stand-alone "soundie" film.
Brian J. Quinn - October 14, 2006 09:16 AM (GMT)
For anyone who enjoyed that Reg Kehoe and His Marimba Queens soundie that Kate posted (that guy on standup bass is just incredible, and incredibly bizarre), a much higher quality and downloadable version of it can be found on the archive.org site - which is where I first came across it and watched it over and over. Anyone ever find any other footage of these guys?
There's also some great info on the group and that spastic bass player in the comments posted along with the clip.

Singing Italian ActorsThe intro is pretty long, but the Merli clip is priceless... especially given his onscreen persona. Also of note are Fabio Testi's total lack of charisma and the boy staring at Franco Nero.
A French James Bond ParodyFunny stuff, even for people who don't speak French.
WindowlickerExtended music video for the Aphex Twin song is an entertaining, bizarre, and spot on satire of rap videos.
Richard Harrison: Whoa ooh ohh Montego BayI'm sure everyone on this board has seen this one before, but it's too awesome not to be listed here. There is no excuse for not owning this DVD.
White and NerdyThis one's stretching it a bit, since Weird Al doesn't really have anything to do with cult movies, but IMO it's some of the best stuff he's done in years.
William S. Wilson - October 16, 2006 12:43 AM (GMT)
Ha! That James Bond parody was expertly done. Keeping with the French theme, here is the hilarious and surreal 4-minute short "Sculpture physique" which appeared in the anthology film ADRENALINE.

Here's a few fun things I've come across:
Turkish Star Wars training sequence:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3uAUp6FjgMBelieve it or not, there's apparently a sequel to Turkish Star Wars with Cuneyt Arkin returning. It actually looks more like Turkish Battlestar Galactica to me:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3wgcvItHEwTrailer to the crazy Yuen Clan film Taoism Drunkard (On top of all the other craziness, it even has a Marx brothers homage!):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zt0EfjJ8tVQThe attack of the watermelon monster! (I think I had a nightmare about this thing once):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kv3L30n6Bjwhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuwHZTaIj6IOpening and theme song of the old Japanese tv show monkey (just try getting the song out of your head):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGs4LDp78zg Not sure if this counts as a movie clip or not, but I couldn't resist posting a link to it. It's some kind of remake of Michael Jackson's Thriller from India:

Peter Nepstad - October 16, 2006 02:21 AM (GMT)
The best thing I've seen on youtube so far are these old
Wilkins Coffee commercials done by Jim Henson's muppets.
Jeff McKay - October 21, 2006 03:37 AM (GMT)
Burn, baby, BURN:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=19m_u6Ab3E4And, then for the more adventurous viewers out there who are not offended by somewhat adult dialog and don't care about being politically correct, here's a wild sex-education doozie from the 70's that will boggle your mind. Oh, it will help if you are mentally retarded! Even retarded children need to know about sex.
