I haven't seen this tragic news mentioned anywhere else, so I thought I should report what was posted on the Anchor Bay UK forum yesterday (which I moderate) - that on Sunday 1st October, Renato Polselli passed away. A great loss indeed, and possibly one of the last of his era.

Well isn't that just wonderful.

The two examples of Mr. Polselli's cinema that are currently most readily available, REINCARNATION OF ISABEL and DELIRIUM, are wildly original and thoroughly enjoyable.

And not long after the passing of Mickey Hargitay, the star of Polselli's classic DELIRIUM (1972). They will be missed.
