Title: more Italian gialli soundtracks from Digitmovies

Digitmovies has released the soundtracks for Antonio Bido's WATCH ME WHEN I KILL by Trans-Europ-Express (a very, VERY Goblin-esque score, more so than BLOODSTAINED SHADOW) and Bixio-Frizzi-Tempera's SETTE NOTE IN NERO.

Digitmovies has not released the soundtracks

We Eurocult fans always get shafted. :ph43r:

Sorry, I didn't notice the "not". Xploited will probably have them soon enough. Dusty Groove already has them in stock.

Actually, Xploited has them now for $17.95 each.

According to Digitmovies, there are defects in track 2 - the title song "With You" that were could not be corrected in remastering so the pressing itself is not defective. I'm on the fence about ordering this one. I remember the title song and the theme used in "Kill Bill" but its been a long time since I've seen the film itself.

Digitmovies is putting out VIRGIN AMONG THE LIVING DEAD as well as a trio of scores of Klaus Kinski films in a 2-disc set featuring Joe D'Amato's DEATH SMILES ON MURDER and the Turkish/Italian HAND THAT FEEDS DEATH and its co-feature the title of which eludes me.

It turns out that VIRGIN is an actual Bruno Nicolai score rather than a compilation of unused tracks from other films (though tracks from BIANCO VESTITO PER MARIALE and the non-score album RENDEZVOUS had me wondering if it was stiched together). Hopefully NIGHTMARES COME AT NIGHT will either show up as an album on CD or perhaps Digitmovies can track down the cues in Nicolai's archive.

I recieved the Digitmovies CD of VIRGIN AMONG THE LIVING DEAD today. Unlike the other archival releases, there are no alternate takes, just the 23 (!) tracks that were actually used in the film itself (this makes me wonder if it is indeed a compilation from stuff Nicolai was working on at the time rather than a scoring assignment). Everything from the film is here: the main title, Uncle Howard's piano cues, the carousel tune we hear at the end of the opening credits, the mournful Edda dell'Orso's cues along with the upbeat vocal that underscore's Christina's wandering the woods and taking a swim, and the satanic ritual cue (rougher and more spare than Nicolai's "Sabba" cue for TUTTI I COLORI DEL BUIO but nonetheless effective). A nice purchase.

Screen Archives has some .ram samples.
