For those of you who picked up either the Japanese or Italian DVD of QUIET PLACE TO KILL aka PARANOIA, Alan Young Pictures has released UN POSTO IDEALE PER UCCIDERE aka OASIS OF FEAR or DIRTY PICTURES with Ray Lovelock and Ornella Muti on DVD in Italy. No subtitles or English dub track unfortunately but the disc should preserve the film's scope dimensions.

Hopefully, a legit company will make use of those masters (properly converted) for English language releases. Of Lenzi's gialli, I've now seen QUIET PLACE TO KILL, PARANOIA (ORGASMO), SO SWEET SO PERVERSE, the former two in scope (ORGASMO would make another wanted widescreen DVD release) but SO SWEET SO PERVERSE has not turned up on tape or disc in scope yet and it really needs it (I haven't seen it in English but the Italian version I saw had English credits and was just as ruinously panned and scanned as I assume the dubbed Greek subtitled version that's floating around to be).

Xploited Cinema is already carrying UN POSTO.
