I was very happy to come across a Greek VHS of this Indonesian action film starring Christopher Mitchum... The action is over-the-top as you could expect from an Indonesian production. Here are some funny quotes:

GIRL: Jake, I know nothing about you but I think I love you. Are you a cop?
JAKE: Let's just say I am going after the bad guys.
GIRL: But you kill them, you are a lethal hunter!
JAKE: All I want to be right now is a lover.
GIRL: A lethal lover...

Did Christopher Mitchum ever make a bad movie? His father could have taken some pointers from him.

I got to like Chris Mitchum when I watched Franco's FACELESS for the first time, not to mention Tulio Demicheli's RICCO/THE MEAN MACHINE. After watching LETHAL HUNTER I want more of him :D

Gee, do you think Robert, a dutiful father, watched stuff like this? "Good going, son!"....

No, he saved all that praise for son Jim Mitchum in HOLLYWOOD COP. :)

Oh my goodness, that is an amazing trailer. The car stunts in that are fantastic. I must find this now! Many thanks for posting it.

The sound FX for the fist fights are as OTT as in Faceless, which is of couse a good thing. The big muscle guy has a lower pitched vice than Doo Doo in Faceless which diminishes the comic value, which is a bad thing. Overall I rate the trailer as Z, which means it is a must-see!

Okay, so I watched this last night (thanks Lefteris!) and I think I may have found my film of the year. Seriously, I can't think of anything else that will be more entertaining than this. Lots of people run around to try and secure some microfilm, which we are never told what it contains! It is literally shoot out after shoot out, chase after chase, huge explosion after huge explosion. The amazing thing is seeing Chris Mitchum do quite a bit of his own stunt work. Plus you have incredible support from guys like Bill "Super Foot" Wallace, Mike Abbott (looking like a cute Robert Z'Dar) and RAMBU himself Peter O'Brian as a wimp (!) named Tom Selick (say it outloud). This should come as no shock to anyone who has seen Azrial's earlier films like THE STABILIZER and FEROCIOUS FEMALE FREEDOM FIGHTERS.

Just wait till you watch FINAL SCORE :D

Oh man! I watched FINAL SCORE last night and it is just as insane. The last half hour is non-stop shoot outs and explosions. Robert Brown (Chris Mitchum) is a one man killing machine after his wife, son and housekeeper are murdered. The rest of the film consists of Brown going from villain to villain and killing them. Oh, then he scratches their name off a list with a red pen! This seemed like a warm up for LETHAL HUNTER as nearly everyone from that film is in this. Director Arizal has an amazing style, never settling for anything less than the most over the top scene imaginable. Of course this results in quite a few scary looking stunts where it looks like someone got hurt. For example, check out this car chase and keep your eye on the guy in the red shirt hanging out the window firing a gun. I pray he made it out alive!

Another rousing thumbs-up for LETHAL HUNTER that is wild, hilarious, crazy, dangerous-looking and flat-out awful as only an Arizal film can be. I'm surprised they didn't have Peter O'Brien as "Tom Selleck" wear a mustache!

I just watched this movie again with some friends about ten minutes ago. It remains awesome. The opening dune buggy scene is a classic.
