Okay, I finally figured out how to quote in such a way that the quoted comments appear in a neat little box (and while using Netscape to boot!). But could someone please help me figure out how I can indicate who the quote's from while quoting in this way? If so, my thanks in advance for the tech help! :)
I'll try this with some added spaces in the codes so examples won't spring text into quote boxes. When you put the [ QUOTE ] and [ /QUOTE ] tags (remove all spaces) around text you get the quote boxes. You can then add a person's name by including it in the first tag, so a quote box could start with [ QUOTE=Tim Youngs ] and end with [ /QUOTE ] (again, remove the first and last spaces). That would give you...
| QUOTE (Tim Youngs) |
| ...this. |
You can add more info like an original post's date and time after a comma and no space after a person's name. But replying to someone using the quote button (and then editing the text because it otherwise goes in one block) would do that for you.
