Title: Any word on the Sergio Sollima Boxset promised...
Description: ...for DVD release in Germany?

From what I've heard, the boxset will include FACE TO FACE, THE BIG GUNDOWN and RUN MAN RUN, but what I haven't seen any confirmation of is (a) whether the set will offer English audio/subtitle options, or (b) when the thing is planned for release, or by whom...

And is this likely to be available via Amazon.de? German censorship laws, and their prohibition of the sale of "adult" material over the internet, often make for headaches and irritation when it comes to planning one's DVD purchases...but will these violent-but-not-THAT-violent spaghettis be classified as proscribed materials or not? Enquiring minds need to know!

And yes, the proliferation of spaghetti-flavoured queries from your truly does indicate a renewed interest in this beloved, sand-blown, mid-Atlantic accented genre. Sometimes a collector's impatience wins out over his better judgement, and when you need a particular fix, you grab the closest available option...which is my way of admitting that I've ordered the French RETURN OF RINGO disc, French-audio-only-be-damned! When it arrives I'll post my thoughts...and I'm seriously considering picking up a couple of the Italian DVDs, too (IL MERCENARIO, the first SABATA and INDIO BLACK)...I can always synch-up the English soundtracks from my aged VHS tapes... I've never seen any of these titles in their intended aspect ratio so I'm sure they'll be a revelation.

The boxset will be released by Koch Media next year. No specific date has been given so far. According to Koch Media's Mr. Bruckner all films will have German and Italian audio as well as German and English subs.

The boxset will be available from amazon.de only if Koch Media requests a new rating by the FSK (and only if the FSK doesn't rate the films the way they did back in the 60s). Back then, both FACCIA A FACCIA and CORRI UOMO CORRI, got an 18 rating which means they are not allowed to be sold by German internet vendors. Unless these two films get a new 16 rating (or less) they won't be available at amazon.de.

So far, none of the two westerns appear on the list of films recently rated or re-rated by the FSK.
