Fantastic news, especially concerning the extra footage on 'Fistful of Dynamite'!
The "extra footage" should be the extended flashback sequence at the end of the film previously only available on the Italian DVD (there are 3 variants of this - no flashback, short flashback, long flashback).
So it's going to be sold as A FISTFUL OF DYNAMITE rather than DUCK YOU SUCKER, I gather from this information. Well, as long as they get the right title at the end, I guess it doesn't matter. Glad to see Mr. Donati getting some words in on this film. He never seems to get any credit for writing the screenplay with Leone for ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST. Many people still seem to think Argento and Bertolucci wrote the whole thing, start to finish. I was sorry to see him not included on the ONCE..WEST dvd.
Oh,BTW, if your local PBS station ever airs ANDRE RIEU: LIVE IN TUSCANY during it's fundraising, at least tune into the second segment. Rieu, orchestra, chorus, and soloist do a lovely rendition of ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST before a knowing and respectful audience.
Music from OUATITW pops up everywhere (the most notable inclusion being every time Chuck Norris appears in Bruce Lee's Way of the Dragon).
In the UK, exerpts from the harmonica music turned up the other day in I'm a celebrity Get Me Out of Here (Big Borther for z-grade celebs). They also had Morricone's music from The Thing during one "Bushtucker Trial".
