Title: A Note About Genre Postings In This Section

Todd Harbour - October 18, 2004 03:40 PM (GMT)
Please note that postings or comments about horror, genre, cult, exploitation and "weird" films or DVDs, in any context, are off-topic to this section and will be edited or deleted without notification.

It's not fair to readers generally not interested in genre cinema to have to wade through genre posts on AWH to find discussions about films and DVDs covered by this section's title. It's also important to recognize and respect that some readers may not be interested in genre because they're uncomfortable with, or are offended by, horror and violence. We want these readers to have a place with us. There is a rich history of cinema outside genre, and it's extremely important to us that we develop and maintain a section at our forum that allows discussion of these topics to flourish.

If a thread starts at AWH that you'd like to comment on from a horror/genre context, please feel free to start a duplicate thread at Sci-Fi, Horror & Fantastic Cinema or Cult & Exploitation. If you have a "general" film or DVD question and are interested in receiving comments that include horror/genre references, please post your topic in our Sci-Fi, Horror & Fantastic Cinema or Cult & Exploitation sections.

Genre posts made on AWH will be shifted to Sci-Fi, Horror & Fantastic Cinema or an otherwise applicable board if possible and when appropriate. Otherwise, off-topic genre posts and responses will be edited or deleted without notification.

Thanks for your cooperation.
