aside from the movie, i have read from tower3a.com (a chinese message forum regarding DVD's) that there is a DVD and VCD release of a 7 episode mini-series based on the "Quill" with singer Koji Tamaki as the blind man. I know that the VCD will come out first followed by the DVD release in the following month. Are there any extra info on this mini-series i can find out about this TV show?

The second disc of the Region 2 NTSC put out by Shochiku this spring has promotional information, e.g. TV serialisation adverts, on it. It's also worth getting because a) the picture has been subtitled in English (but alas, not the bonus disc) and b) is a reasonable 4,900 yen for two DVDs.

BTW, do you have any idea why the serialisation is only seven episodes long? Japanese programs usually come in runs of either ten or twelve episodes. Is this a multi-national joint production? A quick browse of Japanese TV stations hasn't turned up anything. Admittedly, I can't read Japanese but one can sort of parse the Chinese component of the pages. Moreoever, most stations also have a functional English site that gives a listing of what shows they have produced and aired.
