In the UK the recent King Arthur is getting released in both its theatrical and "directors cut" versions on DVD. The latter runs 15 mins longer and the BBFC have upped the certificate from "12" to "15" - their guidance notes implies that this is for extra gore in the battle scenes. This is one of the very few examples to date of a new BBFC policy to permit the release of versions of a film with different certificates (previously they prevented it because of concerns over the expectations of minors who had seen the toned down version).
