Title: MHVF.NET disabled?
Description: Now leads to RoomLinX!

Lars Erik Holmquist - February 12, 2005 07:07 AM (GMT)
When I try to go to mhvf.net I end up at the homepage of an internet provider, RoomLinX. Fortunately I found the "full" address through Google. Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm not seeing any problems here with either mhvf.net or www.mhvf.net - both are pointing at the board as usual. Perhaps it was a temporary DNS issue?

Yes, I think the problem is on my end. Some other adresses - seemingly at random - also lead to this internet provider instead of the proper place! Most adresses work fine though. I am in a hotel room in Canada at this moment, using the hotel's free internet connection, so I guess things will be back to normal when I get home...

Your browser may have been hijacked if you're seeing this same site pop up when you try to hit multiple different URLs. Google "browser hijack" and you'll no doubt find a lot of info on how to detect and fix the problem, if that's what's really causing these anomalies.

No, it seems more like some kind of nameserver / forwarding confusion
