Snakewoman .... or Extraño Interludio (this seems to be Franco's favorite title, but usually his favorite titles are NOT also the favorite of the film distributors) is the new film Franco, shot in 2004 and now in postproduction. Franco will begin the dubbing as soon as he has finished his new interview-book with director Luis García Berlanga.

From what I've understood from many public and private chats, this film is very different from his most recent movies. It's more fantastic and gothic, and filmed with a much higher budget. The cast includes Lina Romay and other actresses who took part to his latest films, like Christie Levin, Fata Morgana and Carmen Montes, the protagonist. But the great surprise, for Franco fans, is the return of Antonio Mayans, the Spanish actor who worked in almost 50 of his films, from 1973 (LA NOCHE DE LOS ASESINOS) onwards. Probably, you don't know him so well as you know other Franco actors because Mayans mainly worked in Spanish films still unreleased on US. Anyway, he is the Sheik in LA TUMBA DE LOS MUERTOS VIVIENTES / OASIS OF THE ZOMBIES.
The film is an American-German coproduction and twenty minutes of it will be released as extra in the upcoming US DVD of RED SILK (Sub Rosa Studios).
