Title: PHANTASM turns 30
Description: LA Times interview

William S. Wilson - October 18, 2009 04:27 PM (GMT)
Can't believe the original is 30 years old. PHANTASM is the probably the first horror film I remember as a 5-year-old kid (my little brain missed HALLOWEEN by a year). I've always loved it for its dream-like nature and introducing a totally unique horror villain. It is also one of the few horror series in my lifetime to remain completely under the control of its creator.

Here is a nice little interview with director Don Coscarelli, along with the films’ stars, Angus Scrimm and Reggie Bannister.

That's a nice article.

I still recall watching PHANTASM on a double bill with THE FOG. Some guy, who likely had Emphysema, sat down in front and made these sounds like Darth Vaders last moments. I whispered "If this guy croaks, I'm outta here, and I hope you catch up with me!"

Now I'm in the mood to watch PHANTASM tonight!

PHANTASM turns 3D?!

Oh, sorry. Wishful thinking.

Patience. It just may be inevitable...
