What a coincidence---just the other day I was wondering where the heck I could find some Nollywood flicks (here in the D, that's possible since there is a whole African business enclave on the northwest side of Detroit). Anyway, since TIME devoted its most recent issue on the fall and decline of Detroit, I checked its website and ran across this big spread on current Nollywood movie stars---there's a big whole brand new book about them, too:

Maybe this new book on it might help. I have been to a couple in the past and got a DVD called BLACK KNIGHT IN SOUTH AMERICA, which was about a couple of Nigerians living there and trying to make in a foreign land. The plot concerned at least one young Nigerian guy who's taking a chance on dealing drugs to get by. He dosen't know that the girl he's starting to date is actually an undercover officer trying to get him busted. I would have seen the rest of it,except that someone threw it out. It looked like it was shot on video, but the acting was pretty decent.
