Just read something about this on BoingBoing. It looks fun in sort of the same way as the Filipino movie The Killing of Satan.

The description for the trailer on YouTube says that you can watch the whole movie on this site, but it seems to be down at the moment:

BTW, in case you were wondering, Satan is real:

Several of the other trailers for "Nollywood" movies that I've seen on YouTube are entertaining. In particular, this one looks fun:

I'm not really familiar with Nollywood movies (or with very much African cinema), does anyone here have any recommendations?

What a coincidence---just the other day I was wondering where the heck I could find some Nollywood flicks (here in the D, that's possible since there is a whole African business enclave on the northwest side of Detroit). Anyway, since TIME devoted its most recent issue on the fall and decline of Detroit, I checked its website and ran across this big spread on current Nollywood movie stars---there's a big whole brand new book about them, too:

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with any genres within Nollywood or with the films themselves , and I haven't seen enough of them to even make any recommendations---I'd have to go one of the African stores to check them out. Maybe this new book on it might help. I have been to a couple in the past and got a DVD called BLACK KNIGHT IN SOUTH AMERICA, which was about a couple of Nigerians living there and trying to make in a foreign land. The plot concerned at least one young Nigerian guy who's taking a chance on dealing drugs to get by. He dosen't know that the girl he's starting to date is actually an undercover officer trying to get him busted. I would have seen the rest of it,except that someone threw it out. It looked like it was shot on video, but the acting was pretty decent.
