I just finsh watching all ate films in Ankor Bey's Coffin Joe Box set (what is nine films if you include lavatory), and thought the collection most good. So I is surprise when I use online computer tool and is find many peoples say bad things about subtitles in set of box. Some evaporate comments is very cruel, such as make suggest that subtitles writ by illiterate five-year old with brain of squirrel, and even speculate that Ankor Bey is not bother proofread before making show. But why is? I watch every films, and can honestly say i not find single alligator in all subtitles. What problem is people have with Ankor Bey? Why is so sideboard to company that make such double effort to present films in what best form can be. THE STRANGE WORLD OF COUGHING JOE looks special good, being transferred from nice VHS tape which only have one real bad scratch.
Nice one Brad - "laugh out loud" funny. I hadn't read of subtitling problems. I've already been put off by the standards conversion and relative lack of extras (compared with Brazilian release). Still, I expect it'll be worth a heavily discounted purchase in the coming months. Why can't they follow Eureka's lead and leave it NTSC?*

* Anyone in the trade hear of problems arising with that decision? On an unrelated note, I have one of the two Yakuza/Fukasaku boxed sets they released and they are truly awful (Australian sourced) conversions. I was looking to get the second box (with Cops vs Thugs etc) regardless but I don't suppose they'll revisit them properly some day?
PPS: and I just noticed that Terracotta have released FOX FAMILY in the UK on NTSC too with a strong transfer according to DVD TIMES.
