I don't mean to belabor the point or anything, since I've griped about this at length elsewhere--and, for the record, these titles look absolutely great--but I think MYA should focus on getting their backlog of stuff out in a timely fashion before announcing six (SIX?!?! YEAH, RIGHT!) titles for November. They're having a hard time getting ONE thing out on time, let alone six. I'm just saying, we Eurocult fans need to cool our jets when it comes to MYA's announcements and street dates. These are February 2010 at the earliest (OK, one or two of them MIGHT come out before we close the book on '09). I'm totally behind their product...just not getting psyched about their announced schedules anymore.

I've only just started buying Mya's titles and will be way behind for the forseeable future, but I'm just generally happy that these films are coming out at all. Fingers crossed on 16x9 transfers where possible and general A/V quality, as some Mya discs seem to hit the sweet spot and some don't.

Oh man, do I feel smart for not dishing out for that $50 HUNCHBACK German DVD from a few years ago or what?

I am totally unfamiliar with the HUNCHBACK movie. Can anyone enlighten me?

It is Paul Naschy doing an ultra-gory take on THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME.

HUMAN COBRAS is a Techniscope film but the MYA specs say the disc will be 1.33:1.

I seriously hope that's a goof, though it may not be. (A wider, fansub edition of HUMAN COBRAS hit the grey market a few months back). Half of the titles mentioned above are listed as 16x9 (including HUNCHBACK) and half aren't.
