Title: Your Vice is a Locked Door.......question

Dean DeMarco - January 27, 2005 10:26 PM (GMT)
Just saw a giallo by Sergio Martino on dvd of YOUR VICE IS A LOCKED DOOR & ONLY I HAVE THE KEY, on a web-site.

I never saw the movie, but being a lover of Giallo's, I am interested in seeing it. I have to say though, that the dvd I saw of it looked a little shady. As maybe not being completly legit, but yet it is being sold at a legit, (from what I gather), site.

Does anyone know if this is a legit release? Also, would anyone here care to comment if this is indeed worth viewing?

While I'm on the topic I guess. I saw a few other dvd's I think I'd be interested in also, but again, the looks of them appear to be shady. I hope it's not wrong to mention it here, but the name of this company on the back of the cases says Alpha Digital. Is this a legit company, as I never heard of them before?

If this is not a legit company, and I broke a rule by mentioning them here, I apologise. I certainly meant no harm by it. :ph43r:

thanks,

Dean

Here's the review at 10KBullets:

The transfer is sourced from a VHS tape, and not a very good one either by the looks of it.

I saw the film about a year or so ago. The DVD is indeed a grey market release (as are the other titles from Alpha Digital). For the film itself, I thought it was just okay. Edwige Fenech is good in it, but you will figure out where it is going very early on. I love that title though.

Thanks for the link Michael. And thank you William also, for your opinion.

As good as the title might be this is Martinos least effort in the genre (but maybe it's because of the badlooking print in this release). Still it has some moments that makes the watching worthwile. And of course, any film with Edwige is worth watching. Maybe if it will be released by a company that gives the film the kind of treatment it needs, we could experience the film as it's supposed to.
