Hi Greg !!!
Yes it's true !!! And in my country in France the situation is worst, we're never had the books of William F. Nolan : Logan's Search and Logan's Return translated in French language !!! :(
All the fans hope with the new movie, that come the tv serie in DVD (in France we like very much the tv serie !) and the translation of all books of Mr. Nolan on Logan's Run !!!

Yes - these do, indeed, pop up on eBay quite regularly, and I've just received a set myself.
As I'm certain that discussion of unauthorised copies and any kind of file-sharing would be inappropriate for this forum, I'm sadly not going to tell anyone how to go about finding them - sorry
However, I *will* says that the set I got are all pretty good quality, all things considered; the picture is a little 'soft', but the sound is good.
Better yet, it's given the the opportunity to reclaim a little piece of my childhood, which is WONDERFUL.
As an added bonus, I've been able to indoctrinate my kids into watching LR as well (Luke is 10, and Eloise is 9) - they both think the series is simply amazing, which I find astonishing, given the level of SFX they're used to from modern TV series.
If anyone's interested, I'd be more than happy to compile a review of each episode, both from myself, and my kids, as we work our way through the series?
Cheers for now,
Rob

Hey Rob! That sounds like a great idea! In fact, I was going to make up individual threads for each Episode on this forum, so we can keep all topics related to a specific episode together in one place.
It would be great if you could submit your reviews in these threads. I always wanted to do some synopsis stuff for each episode and review them myself, but I'm usually pretty horrible in that department.
I tried to write synopsises once for all of the episodes for my website, but I never liked the way they came out. Luckily, Virtual Vikki has great Episode breakdowns over at 'her' excellent Logan site, so I just refer people over there for all that stuff. It saved me ALOT of work, let me tell you....
Please post away, Rob! I'd love to read your reviews, as I'm sure others would too!! It would also add greatly to our forum discussions!
One last thing - I see you named your little girl 'Eloise'. That's great! My wife's name is Eloise, - you just don't see it used much anymore.
Gotta run...... :)

I attended a comic / Sci Fi show this weekend, It was at the Toronto Convention center. It is the bigggest one of the summer, there must have been like 3000 people at the show, it was really amazing. I was able to pick up a copy of Logans Run the T.V. Series on DVD, the quality is quite good, and it even has a menu, but you can tell it was transfered from tape. At certain brakes during the episodes you see a message " Insert Commericial Here ", It was very happy to find a vendor that was selling them. I stumbled on it totally by surprise, It cost $40.00 Canadian. Soon as I finish watching them I will add some comments to the Episode threads....Run Runner !!!

Well -- another Holiday Season is quickly approaching, yet sadly again - no 'official' Logan's Run DVDs.
I'll probably be 'twice renewed' by the time these things finally do come out!

I bought a set of the bootlegs on ebay a few months ago. It was pretty cool to see the episodes again a generation later, and ESPECIALLY to see the ones that never aired! One of them (an otherwise ridiculous, haunted-house-&-Satanists-themed show) included the only honest-to-God romantic moment between L & J in the TV series' entire run. Maybe if they had let these 2 healthy young specimens mess around a little bit, the damned series would have actually GONE somewhere! :dunno:
