Title: New Run of Blasters, ds_props@hotmail.com SCAM

Nick Lambros - May 10, 2005 01:53 AM (GMT)
NOTE: I have given JOHN PLENTY OF TIME to reply to me BEFORE I POSTED THIS ALERT. I had to balance fairness (over a month) with warning others who grew up so wanting a Sandman prop gun. He has has ample time to reply and HE has chosen not to, so what else can I call him but a scammer and stealer.

ds_props@hotmail.com (John) is running a scam. I wanted to get in on one of these "limited number of ds guns" so, in the middle of August I emailed him and paypaled him $200.00 as a deposit. Since then I have initiated 8 emails and he only answered the first over a month ago by stating he was going to be sending out a picture of his work in a week. It has now been over a month and he has not replied to 1 of the other seven emails I have sent him! BEWARE OF HIM. He has stolen my money and Paypal does not care because it is over the 30 day period, as John KNEW so he could scam the system. DON'T buy anything from him. I can get no phone number or even a last name. If anyone can help me please email me at: sendnickemail@aol.com

SCAM ALERT!

Nick

Hi Nick,

This is the second complaint in less than a week that I have heard about people trying to get in touch with John C (ds_props@hotmail.com) regarding his services and never hearing back from him on their concerns after weeks of waiting.

So for the benefit of my site's visitors, I would agree that people should be wary of purchasing products from John C. until he can answer as to why the long delays in email responses and product availability.

I'm sorry that you are having trouble contacting him, Nick. I will try on my end as well to see if I can reach him for you and let him know that I have removed all references of his latest sale of blasters from my site because of the complaints I have gotten from those wanting to purchase his products.

I will let you know if I am successful.

In the mean time, for everyone else --

Buyer Beware

Thanks for any help you can give. A really nice Sandman prop is something I have ALWAYS wanted since I was seven years old when the movie came out and a treat/dream come true that I wanted to give myself. This guy has preyed on the dreams of others for his personal gain. Like I said, I gave him one month + to reply. If he replies and makes good on his promise then I will state it here on the forums. If he refunds all our money then I will not hold malice for his action (or lack thereof) either. This is a felony and I could take it further and he should consider that. Just Paypal won't cooperate with ME does not mean they will not and can refuse the FBI's inquiry. Reconsider "John C.," before it is too late.

did you take action against john campbell?i would like to also.i still have a payment record of our transaction.please let me know what is up thank you john p

:angryfire: John Campbell is now using the email: dsprop@ozemail.com.au. He claims to have lost the hotmail pw when his computer crashed according to some other guy in Australia (gil@acroyear.com) also who claims John contacted him somehow and asked him to collect the remainder of the money $450.00 in my case. I did not send the money but then John himself contacted me (guess his computer got fixed) and got the msg from Gil, (quickly I might add) and said he wanted to make it right and apologized, blah blah blah :censored: after over a year and a half...and said if I sent him $100.00 bucks he would ship the Logan's Run Deep Sleep Pistol Prop to me....well like (a few emails back and forth) a fool I thought I would give it a shot and now its been 2 weeks and no emails to me and no replies to my emails...guess his computer broke again (right) and he has gone into hiding again. This guy will have his debts collected when he dies. I am 35 now but that is not who he stole from. He has stolen from a 7 year old boy who has always wanted one of these things... My advice is DO NOT SEND HIM A PENNY! Anyone wanting more info can email me at: greekgod2u@aol.com or nicholaslambros@gmail.com....I am faster on the aol one.
:wtf:

Thanks for the warning. I am sorry to hear about what has happened and how nothing has been done by paypal since it is past the 30 day limit.

Wow wish I was here earlier, John scammed a bunch of people over on the RPF earlier on a Gas burning Blade Runner gun.

Yes he did do one run of working Logan guns but after that it has been scam...

So far no one has gotten any thing from him.

I personly had a deal with him and gave up all my waiting for my someday gun run and got nothing from the SOB.

So I say burn him. :censored: :angryfire: :rip:

My 2 cents worth.

Rich

You mean take your money and not deliver?

Sure, I can do that, and give you a 20% discount.

;)

What's the deal on this? I won an auction on eBay for one of "ten pieces - last ones!" from this dude who is a Power Seller...sells a lot of Kiss stuff. After emailing him five times re shipping status with no reply, I looked at his feedback, which was pretty darn good - always complimented on speedy shipping. I even looked closer - people who have won items the same day I did from him, even days AFTER I won the thing, had their goods shipped.

He finally wrote back and said he'd be going to the post office next Tuesday!?

Here's my auction win:

This thread is about a guy named John from Australia, who ripped off a lot of people here regarding $800.00 working Sandman Gun replicas (he kept the money and deposits and never delivered the guns). :angryfire:

The link you posted is referring to a different replica (and possible different seller) - so hopefully you'll be o.k - as long as that seller doesn't decide to wake up one day and rip people off like John did.

The kit you won is a great kit. The best replica non-working kit I have ever seen.

I do not know the person selling them on fee-bay, but he has been selling them for many months now.

This thread is about someone different than the maker of your kit.

Good luck with it. :D
