Title: Second Life Sandman!

Logan5 - February 23, 2008 12:27 PM (GMT)
The online community of Second Life now has a Sandman watching over them! :lol2:

Here's a shot of me on patrol in Second Life in my Sandman garb - complete with Gun, Follower and Life Clock! Luckily, I haven't seen too many runners yet - otherwise I'd unleash my Homer and dispense of them in the fountain!! :rotf:

Second Life is a blast. It's been around for the past three years or so, but I just discovered it a few months ago. It reminds me so much of Arcade and the City of Domes, it's insane!

If you all happen to visit - please watch out - as I am monitoring your age... and would not hesitate in unleashing some 23rd Century punishment! :lol2:

To join Second Life - visit:

http://www.secondlife.com

It's FREE, of course!! (Well, you can pay if you want the step above Basic Account, I guess - but why would ya??)

Drop me an email if you do join SL with your Avatar name - I'll look you up sometime in world!

Run runner!!

Wow that looks fun! I wanna do it! I remember hearing about SL a long time ago but had forgotten it til you mentioned it. I may check it out :)

Oh yikes! Didn't realize it was an online game. Thought you just made avatars with it. My guy plays the Sims games but, I'm just not into gaming.
But, hope you have fun there - for those into it it looks like fun :)

Actually RunnerBlue - it's more of an online Internet community along the lines of "There" or AOLs "IMVU" - much more so than a game. There really isn't an object to Second Life (in a gaming sense).

I like to think of it more as a visual IRC type community. Chatting and Exploring are the big things there.

My favorite spot in SL is a place where they play old-time radio dramas back from the 1930s all the way up through current stuff of today. They play the old Stacy Keach "Twilight Zones", the classic "Night Beat" dramas, lots of HP Lovecraft stuff and the CBS Radio Mystery Theater stuff from the early 1980s. When I'm online in SL - I'm almost always there listening to those great stories!

Not much in the way of Hallucimills, Cathedral - but they do have their fair share of Glasshouses and Loveshops. :ph43r:

Not my sort of thing. But they are there.
