I am so saddened today to hear the news of the passing of one of my all-time favorite actors...

the magnificent Roy Scheider

I have admired this actor since 1975, when I was 10 years old and enjoyed the movie 'JAWS' at my hometown's downtown movie theater.

I came to know more of his wonderful roles as I grew up (his other bests being 'The French Connection', 'All That Jazz', Marathon Man' and 'The Seven Ups').

Rest in peace, Mr Scheider and thanks for all of the wonderful entertainment you have provided over the years!

And who can forget his fantastic performancec in 2010: The Year We Make Contact. Roy Scheider was a great actor and he will be missed.
