It is with heavy sadness that I pass along news of Roscoe Lee Browne's passing.
Last night, Roscoe (BOX) lost his long battle with cancer at the age of 81.

Although he has a long history in film, theater and television, to me - he will always be fondly remembered as BOX from "Logan's Run', one of the all-time great movie cyborgs!

I came here when I heard the news this morning. Its a shame that all of the news Internet sites are leading off their entertainment news sections with the news of Kurt Vonneguts death - and you have to dig quite a bit to find mention of Roscoe.

First Richard Jordan. Then Sir Peter Ustinov. Now Roscoe Lee Browne.
It is sad that another great actor has passed on. He will definately be missed.
Roscoe, we all loved you as Box and in the other roles that you played. We will definately miss you. Rest In Peace.

Yeah, I caught that. He was (if memory serves) the FIRST person featured in said "death reel." They showed scenes from two of his films. . .but NO scenes of him encased in gleaming chrome. Bless ya, Roscoe; we miss you.
